"Pati was extremely helpful throughout the pregnancy.  She would get answers and/or investigate into the problems and concerns I had. If a situation came up where I needed info, she did what she could to get some answers.  At the delivery, she was strong and kind to both me and my husband.  She offered suggestions in a non-threatening way & gave a lot of support and confidence to continue through with the decisions I had made in my birth plan.  She was instrumental in helping me reduce pain & feel secure.  She was supportive of my husband & helped him participate in the birth.  We both could not have done the birth without her.  The nurses were somewhat attentive to me, but had I not had Pati when the nurse left the room I would have had a lot of fear, with her there I felt completely safe and cared for.  She also helped my husband relax & share the job of helping me which gave us both a sense of calm relief."
